Meditating with a Gyan Mudra hand position is said to bring peace and calm into a meditation practice, and has been used by yogis for thousands of years.
You may recognize this mudra from many spiritual masters depicted in art, like Christ and the Buddha. I owe gratitude for this particular photograph to my soul partner for letting me make him my muse after one our of meditation practices!
This mudra is also said to have health benefits like easing depression and anxiety by stimulating your kundalini chakra. It is also said to be linked to the expansion of knowledge, making it ideal for meditation.
If you practice Kundalini yoga, this is a go-to hand position as it represents Jupiter and caters to your root chakra.
Try this the next time you meditate to ease your transition from the third dimensional realm!
Namaste,
Anna
